Fernando Nussenbaum, MDAdult Joint Reconstruction & Orthopedic Trauma Surgery

Fernando Nussenbaum, MD, is one of the skilled and compassionate orthopedic surgeons practicing at Regenerative Orthopaedics and Spine Institute in Griffin and Stockbridge, Georgia.

Dr. Nussenbaum completed medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, where he was awarded the AOA and The Stuckey award for humanism in medicine. He went on to complete his residency at Baylor University in Houston, Texas, one of the largest trauma centers in the country. During his time there, he won the Hugh S. Tullos Research Award. Dr. Nussenbaum went on to do the high-volume NYU-ISK Adult Reconstruction fellowship in Manhattan.

After completing his fellowship, he worked as a traveling orthopedic surgeon to provide care for the underserved in rural New York and Pennsylvania. His interests include hip and knee replacements, where he focuses on bringing technology to the operating room to enhance the precision of all his cases. He also enjoys trauma surgery and helping those that are injured get back to their healthy self. Dr. Nussenbaum has brought same-day joint replacement surgery to several hospitals and is excited to continue that work at ROSI.
