Steven P. Rayappa, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Regenerative Orthopaedics and Spine Institute, which has two locations in Griffin and Stockbridge, Georgia.
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Dr. Rayappa completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Albany Medical Center in New York, as well as a fellowship in sports medicine at the Miami Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute with Dr. Uribe. Dr. Rayappa previously served as the assistant team physician for the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, and Florida International University Football. He provided coverage of the FedEx Orange Bowl, Miami Beach Bowl, and NCAA MAAC tournament.
Dr. Rayappa is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Rayappa's area of expertise includes anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repair, tendon and ligament repair and reconstruction, unicompartmental knee replacement, and shoulder resurfacing. His clinical specialties include knee surgery, hip surgery, shoulder surgery, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, upper and lower extremity sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, fracture care, and regenerative medicine.
