Once your doctor determines you are a candidate for surgical intervention, you will be scheduled for a pre-op appointment with your surgeon and the hospital. You will also be scheduled for any additional testing you need prior to the surgery.
If you are having a hip or knee replacement, you will attend a joint class at the hospital. In this class you will receive information on your hospital course leading up to your surgery and your post-op care. This is a very informative class and will address many questions and concerns regarding your procedure.
Our staff will walk you through each step of the surgical process. We are here to address any questions or concerns regarding surgery. We strive to make this as stress-free as possible for you and your family and to improve your quality of life.
If your surgery requires overnight admission to the hospital, your surgeon or his nurse practitioners will see you each day during your hospital stay. Each day they will assess your laboratory data and place any necessary orders. We will be in constant communication with you throughout your hospital stay and will make sure you have the resources you need for a safe, swift recovery.
Before your procedure, a surgery coordinator will schedule an appointment for your post-op office visit with your doctor, typically within 1-2 weeks after your procedure. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your surgery, we will see you in the clinic. Once again, our staff will be available 24 hours a day to address any concerns following surgery.
